Journal Papers

Parents,

We are going to start writing in a journal 3-5 days a week. The kids have gotten good at copying sentences. I want to next start working on having them sound out words and using resources like the word wall , a dictionary, or what they have learned about words to start making their own sentences.

You could use this paper to write sentences or stories in the summer time. They could write about what they did that day or a trip they took. Any practice writing would be great to get prepared for first grade!
