This Week In K

This will be a very busy week in Kindergarten!

We will be learning about the letter K.

• In class we talk about consonants and vowels, saying the alphabet, saying our vowels (for each letter that we have done we say the what letter it is, what sound it makes and a few words that start with that letter), rhyming words, syllables, beginning and ending sounds of words, and much more!

We will be finishing up chapter 6 in math.

• We have talked about equal parts, and solid figures (sphere, cone, cube, cylinder).
• There will be a chapter test towards the end of the week.
• In class we work on these skills as a group every day: counting to 100 while looking at the numbers, counting backwards from 20, counting by tens, and some other things.

• Dec. 4 Popcorn Sales 50 cents
• I am very proud of the kindness of some of our students! Some kids have brought in extra money to buy popcorn for kids that didn't bring any money! This money goes to the Firefighters Toy Chest!

• Dec. 4 - Interims - they will go home the following week.
• 
  
• Dec. 9 - K to HS for Mrs. Claus
• Sign and return the permission slip.
• Let me know if any parents want to join us and help out!

• Dec. 11 - Late Arrival
• The kids will come to school two hours later. Come at 10:50 and not 8:50. There will be no breakfast this day.
