Five Little Pumpkins

Today at school we read the poem:

Five Little Pumpkins

Five little pumpkins sitting on a gate.

The 1st one said - "Oh My, it's getting late."

The 2nd one said - "There are witches in the air."

The 3rd one said - "But we don't care."

The 4th one said - "Let's run, let's run!"

The 5th one said - "Isn't Halloween fun?"

THen WOoooooooooooooo went the wind,

and OUT went the lights.

The five little pumpkins rolled out of sight.

To go along with this poem - we colored 5 pumpkins and sat them on a gate. We put a witch in the air and made our picture fit the poem! Please read this poem with your child tonight and talk about their picture. Count and point to the pumpkins and talk about the numbers!
