Letter Gg

This week we will learn about the letter Gg.

We will do a phonics lesson everyday with the letter G and some review of O and L.

We will start chapter 2 in math. We are also practicing writing the number 3.

On Friday the kids will show me what they know! I need to see if they can find pictures that start with the letter G and identify the letter Gg. I will also look at their handwriting to see if they can write a letter Gg at the end of the week!

How is the Homework going? Every child is different in their pace of finishing the work. Some can work on a little each night so it isn't overwhelming. Some will be able to sit down and finish a lot at one sitting! Whatever works for you and your child.

For HW:

Find a quiet place to do the work without distractions.

Turn off the TV/Radios/Video Games.

Always do the work in the same quiet place so it is consistent.

Develop a routine! Maybe after school have a snack and then work on the HW for a bit. Or always do it after dinner or a bath. The more of routine you have it - the better it will be in the long run. You have to be firm in the beginning but eventually it will be become part of the daily routine and will be easier!
